UCLA Library Rebrand

UCLA Library is committed to providing access and delivery of information to UCLA students, faculty and staff, as well as non-UCLA users. Although library resources and services are accessible anywhere, the goal was to broaden the perception of UCLA Library as simply a "building with books". The rebrand also needed to complement the overall university identity, while maintaining a distinctive personality.

To communicate the Library's influence across campus and beyond, and throughout all disciplines, we used bold and colorful imagery that shows a broad range of subject matters, from nano science to the 1964 U.S. election. We also created a messaging platform built as a foundation for staff and outside writers to build upon. The new look and voice is designed to emphasize the library's modern and technologically advanced approach, while still highlighting their commitment to non-digital resources.
